THE MAYOR of Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) helped officially open a Welsh care agency’s new offices yesterday (Wednesday, November 9, 2016).
The event took place at Abacare’s new offices at Ty Cynon, Navigation Park, Abercynon, with a ribbon cutting by The Mayor, Councillor Rhys Lewis.
Peter Angelides, CEO at the award-winning care provider, Abacare, which has recently won a significant tender in the area, said: “We were thrilled to have Mayor Rhys attend our official opening day and help to unveil our offices.
“People from the area came along for tea, coffee and cakes. We also offered attendees official tours of the offices so they could see what goes on behind the scenes and how we keep things ticking over.”
Thousands of people are currently supported by Abacare in North, Mid and South Wales and following its successes in these areas it was recently awarded a place on the framework in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil.
Peter added: “This new contract means we are now looking to take on more staff in RCT and Merthyr to add to our current valued and highly motivated team.
“If you are a caring person, with or without experience, Abacare can help you achieve your goals to become an exceptional carer. We offer training, competitive rates, travel time for walkers and drivers, mileage payments, consistent hours and runs, a refer a friend scheme and national discount scheme for major brands.”
