STAFF at a Bristol car dealership will be dressing up in spooky costumes and raising money for charity during a Halloween Fun Day this month (October, 2016).
Members of the team at Wessex Garages’ Used Supercentre will be donning Halloween outfits on Monday, October 31 and donating money to the centre’s Charity of the Year, The Rainbow Centre for Children.
Dave Martin, Used Car Manager at the dealership on Pennywell Road, said: “All of the staff will be getting into the spooky spirit and dressing up in their best scary gear to help raise money for The Rainbow Centre for Children. Everyone who dresses up will be making a donation to the charity and our loyal customers are welcome to drop in, in their spookiest get up and make a contribution too.
“Any little ones who pop in with their parents or guardians for a spot of ‘trick or treating’ on the day will be treated to some sweets.
“We can’t wait to see all of the different costumes and we hope to raise lots of money for a very worthwhile cause.”
The Rainbow Centre for Children is based on Lilymead Avenue in Knowle and offers art and music therapies, counselling, support and information to children affected by life threatening illness and bereavement. At The Rainbow Centre staff believe in treating the whole person, rather than isolated symptoms, providing a range of therapies, which may help to restore physical and emotional balance.
The centre has a policy of self-referral so families in need of its help just need to call and the charity can discuss how it could help.
Wessex Garages has outlets in Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and Newport. It specialises in new and used car sales across South Wales and the South West.
The Halloween Fun Day will take place at Wessex Garages’ Used Supercentre on Pennywell Road on Monday, October 31.
