TICKETS have gone on sale this month (March, 2017) for a Gin Festival to be hosted for the first time in Portishead, Somerset.
The event takes place on July 29 at the tapas bar and restaurant, Venga and will include tastings and mixing masterclasses, as well as music and food.
General Manager, Mimi Haffar explained: “We’re hosting our much anticipated first Gin Festival at Venga in July.
“We’ll be having masterclasses and tastings with guest suppliers such as Bombay Sapphire and stalls all around the bar, garden and restaurant area along with some soul and jazz music.”
The event takes place on July 29 from 1pm until 10pm. Tickets per person cost £10.
Mimi added: “Please be drink aware when attending this event and don’t forget we can provide our free Venga bus to take parties home.”
Venga opened in 2013, drawing on many Mediterranean influences for the menu including dishes from Barcelona, Madrid and Granada.
Mimi continued: “We offer informal dining and an authentic experience. The menu is freshly prepared, sourcing ingredients from the Westcountry whenever possible but depending on seasonality and availability.
“By supporting regional businesses, which are able to supply us, we aim to bring the taste of the Mediterranean from the best the South West has to offer, reducing food miles where we can and helping local economies too.”
The Gin Festival takes place on July 29 from 1pm until 10pm. Tickets per person cost £10.
