A COUNTRY house hotel in Exmoor has scooped a prestigious gold award in two categories at this year’s (2016) Taste of the West Awards.
Dunkery Beacon Country House Hotel in Wootton Courtenay near Dunster received gold for the second year running in the Restaurant category and also picked up top prize in the Hotel category.
John Bradley, Co-partner at the country house, said: “This is absolutely fantastic news and a wonderful award for all the hard work the whole team has put into the Coleridge Restaurant and the hotel as a whole.
“We pride ourselves on the luxury accommodation we have to offer people and to be recognised for this is brilliant.
“We offer a relaxed dining environment in our restaurant and focus largely on locally-sourced produce for our seasonally changing à la carte menu.
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to the rest of the team as we couldn’t do it without them.”
