CHILDREN from Somerset can have a go at carving their best ghoulish faces into pumpkins when a garden centre’s Halloween workshops return this month (October, 2016).
Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre is hosting pumpkin carving workshops for youngsters daily from October 26 until 31 from 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 4pm.
Andrew Pitman, Store Manager at the award-winning, independent, family-run garden centre at Monkton Heathfield near Taunton, said: “Once again we are hosting our popular carving workshops for children.
“They will take place in our veg area near the Pondside Café and youngsters can draw any design they like on their pumpkins and our staff will help them to carve it. We’re hoping to see lots of spooky faces. Youngsters will also be able to take their pumpkins home with them afterwards.”
The pumpkin carving workshops will cost £3.99 per child.
“There will also be a pumpkin hunt taking place during the holidays. Children can pick up a pumpkin hunt form from reception and they will receive a gift if they find all the pumpkins.”
The pumpkin hunt will cost £1 per child.
Andrew added: “The workshops and pumpkin hunt are perfect for families looking to keep youngsters occupied during the half-term holidays. We hope lots of people come along to enjoy the activities.”
The pumpkin carving workshops will take place daily from Wednesday, October 26 until Monday, October 31 from 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 4pm.
